Telco liability for customers downloading 

The gloves are off in Ireland (or Eire): the record companies are finally going after the telephone company/ISP whose customers are alleged to be downloading infringing copies of the music ...

An ISP here has gone down big time for authorising copyright infringement by hosting a website which had links to infringing sites and advertising its services on that website in return.  The Irish complaint seems to go much further than that.

Interesting question whether a telco in Australia can monitor your (I mean, the customer's) use of the telecommunications service?
