Down Under on top of IP 

Dr Francis Gurry has been nominated by the Co-ordination Committee for the position of Director General of WIPO.

The nomination goes forward for election by the General Assembly in September.... 

Dr Gurry is of course the author of the famous book on breach of confidence.  He has been at WIPO since 1985 in a variety of roles and some of you may have been lucky enough to attend his classes in Melbourne Uni's Masters course over the last few years.
